startup and samba
 
hi

1) where can i find startup or something like it linux as in wondows.
how can i run programs at startup in linux

2)where can i find samba files(tar ,zip,conf) in slackware

samba files can be found at following location:

file:/etc/samba/

If you are using KDE, you can just put a file in your autostart folder
ln -s </path/to/application> ~/.kde/Autostart/

look for

chconfig --list

top add this to list

chkconfig <service name> on

to remove from this list

chkconfig <service name> off
