Question startup

Two out of four time's I restart my laptop, it get's to "start pcmcia"
Then it sais "cardmgr (xxx): starting, version is 3.2.3.
Then it just hang's. I have left it at that point a few time's, but no go.

Then I shut it down, and when it ask's me if I want to do a file integrity check, well I wouldn't even think of doing that. Took me too long to recover from the last time I did it.
Anyway, what the heck is this cardmgr thing?

thank's

the cardmgr manages your pcmcia cards. If you don't have any cards, you can safely disable it from starting up at boot - yo ucan always manually start pcmcia. Go to mandrake control center -> system -> drakxservices and uncheck pcmcia. While you are at it, you can also see if there are other things you don't really need to have started at boot time.

I will disable it if I can start it with a command from console.
I don't want to have to go into Mandrake config everytime I re-start.
