starting oracle database in linux at startup using rc.local


Dear all,

I want to start oracle database at linux machine startup using rc.local.

I just edit /etc/rc.local and add

./home/oracle/startup.sh

but oracle database does not start automatically.

Please help me showing how to do it with step by step
