starting bluetooth in rhel5


can anybody tell me step by step procedure to setup bluetooth so that i can transfer file to and from my linux machine to my mobile phone.i am using rhel5 and a usb bluetooth dongle.

These instructions are on the RedHat knowledgebase, which you have access to with your paid RHEL subscription. They even have the packages you need to install linked from the page, so a quick search on the RedHat Network will be your best bet.

And your question is a bit vague...setting up bluetooth, and getting it to transfer file(s) and other info are two different things. Do you already HAVE bluetooth working? If so, what desktop are you using? Both Gnome and KDE have OBEX servers, which put a handy icon in the systray, for such things....

my question is just how can i transfer files from my linux pc to my bluetooth enabled phone and vice versa, what packages i need to install?
