Start time server


I have a Redhat server , I would like to syn the system time to other server , can advise how to set it as a time server what service that I need to start ?

service ntpd start

at the cmd line, although most people select it to be on with correct TZ at install time. Yours is probably already running.
Alternbatley, you can do it through the GUI if it's (GUI) installed.
System -> Admin ->services iirc.

I started it on my time server , then I tried to use rdate -s 192.168.0.2 , it pop the messages

rdate: couldn't connect to host 192.168.0.2: Connection refused


can advise what is wrong ? thx

p.s. of course , the server can be connected by ping , ssh etc.
