Well still couldnt use the application so then i added putty same method. Now i have these two random files. Being new to ssh i dont even now what i've done. I need help removing one of these and getting it working. Also this is my first post on linux forums . I had to make a account because i've exhausted all search methods

so where do you want to ssh to and where is it initiated from? (which one is your client and server?). What is installed on RPi? What is installed on the other host?

Well i have no ssh program. Nothing will download... So i followed http://rumyittips.com/configure-ssh-...on-kali-linux/
I have xtightvncviewer installed on my pi. the intended use dosent need any additional software, it runs on noobs. But could someone please look at that link & look at the final steps. Being new idk what rca is lol. & i made two different files of it putty & rammina. I run on kali linux. My rasberry will be connected through eth0. Static i.p has been set and i just wanna program it through linux.

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

noobs is an installer, not an operating system and assume you are running raspian. Both kali and raspian have an ssh server and client installed by default so nothing extra is required to be installed. You need to start the ssh server on the operating system you want to log into. The id_rsa id_rsa.pub are key files that lets you log into a ssh server without a password.

Both remmina and xtightvncviewer are client applications. Lets start with which computer you want to log into and what you want to accomplish. Someone will eventually point out the fact that kali is not an operating system for beginners.

You need to start with the basics as ssh has different names on different distributions.

If youre running rasbian on your Pi then:

sudo apt-get install openssl-client

Will install secure-shell. If you want to access remote computers from your raspberry pi then install openssl-server
To test its working from a computer on your network

ssh pi@192.168.1.1

You must replace 192.168.1.1 with the correct address of your Pi, and its prudent to make
sure it has a static IP address.
This only applies if you use rasbian.

Update: well as stated i couldn't get remmina or putty to download. Turned out i just needed to update my system😅 lol.. But however i did follow that one guid and did something i didnt know i was doing. I generated a rsa key. Well i forgot it. I found rsa key in directory and was able to disable it. But knowing what it is now i like the extra part of protection. Any ideas on how i can manage to change it??
