SSH feels slow + Most memory in use?

Heya chaps, I have a few questions/problems, rented a dedicated server in Holland, have a good ping of 7ms to it, but the SSH just feels damn slow! Any idea's how and why? What should I check first?

I also noticed that almost *all* my memory is in use, but by what? Nothing?

Code:
Mem: 1026776k total, 1021152k used, 5624k free, 30896k buffers
Swap: 2040244k total, 0k used, 2040244k free, 774064k cached
Code:

Is this normal? Or is there something leaking memory?

Would appreciate some answers, thanks.

take a look at this thread:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...postid=1660642

it's a popular question...

so basically your memory seems fine, you haven't even touched your swapfile...

considering this, i'd imagine it's a CPU usage issue which is making your box slow...

what's the deal with these processes:
Code:
game 1715 1.7 3.0 33492 31196 pts/21 S Jun20 73:50 ./hltv
game 6058 6.8 8.9 99752 91472 pts/45 S Jun21 189:11 ./hlds_i686 -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 12 -pingboo

Well the box itself has a P4 3 ghz, those processes are a few running game servers, should be causing a little CPU usage. Anyhow, I just created an account for my mate to test, and he has no slowdowns what-so-ever, I tested it on a different connection with the same PC, so it might just be my PC being a little gay, I'm running no firewall at all, so I don't know what could be happening here?

I have no problems on my debian box at home aswell, just on win XP pro with PuTTy :O.
