Question Squid use whole ram

dear friends,
Im using squid3.0 stable25 in fedora11 RAM512MB, and have 25 users.
Problm is it uses full ram after about 30 minutes from booting..
when i upgraded it to 1GB the whole 1GB is using after some time...
i think its due to caching of squid, how to disable it? Pls help...

I shall call you rabbit, for you are jumping to conclusions ...

Can you please post the output of top, sorted by memory sizes?
The top 15 entries maybe?

Cheers,
Tink

Ok, a few comments; top shows 372 MB, not 512, or a gig.
Secondly you're caching (file-system cache) 186 MB.
Thirdly squid only uses very little RAM on that box.

I'm not sure you actually have any problem with that machine,
or whatever you perceive as being problematic isn't obvious ...

Cheers,
Tink

So you're now aware that the machine doesn't have any problem at all? Good.

Tink
