squid setting


can any one tell me how to set up basic squid with one nic,assume that
host name is "test" with ip 10.0.1.3 what will be the syntax to put in host.conf file and also in squid.conf file
please give answer with proper syntax

You probably don't need to touch host.conf at all. What your squid.conf should look like depends on how exactly you want Squid to behave - you haven't given us any clues about that. The default values in squid.conf should be enough to get you started, though. It would be much easier to help you if you could be more specific.
