squid.conf - how to configure what does everything mean ?
 
hey having problems configuring squid on ubuntu server
trying to find where i can configure the internel network.

also i have ufw enabled and these ports open


To Action From
-- ------ ----
22 ALLOW Anywhere
80 ALLOW 10.1.1.0/24
443 ALLOW 10.1.1.0/24
22 ALLOW Anywhere (v6)


is this correct as i want to be able to point my pc's default gateway to the ip address of the proxy ?

i dont want to have to set every application individualy!

internel = internet or internal? Probably internal, I'd guess.

In any case, unless you have changed the default, squid will be using port 3128 (listen-on port, or something), and you haven't done anything to allow that. You could change this port to something else, if it would fit your system needs better. The only ports commonly used are 80, 8080 or 3128, but provided that you don't use a port used by some other service, anything could work (but be confusing).
