Squid as web access monitor?

We have corporate environment. Our users can browse web with some restrictions. Some web pages are blocked (sports, news, gambling...)
Downside of this regulation is that some sites are also blocked which shouldn't be.
To make a friendlier environment, we would like to give our employees fully open web access.
At same time we would like to implement some solution which would monitor completetly all traffic from LAN to web and would make daily reports and send them to employee and to his/her boss by email.
We would need a sort of complete openness with complete transparency.
I googled a little and found that SQIUD is a sort of champ of proxys.
My question is:Is it possible to monitor http sessions from internal IPs to outside websites - to determine start and stop time of browsing session?
Is it possible to create web sessions reports with some analytic plugin and mail them to few mail addresses for each internal IP.
I hope I put it out clear and understandable... :-)
