squid acl bypassing

Hello,

I have squid 2.5 on FC4 and am using it to control internet access on my pc.
The problem that I am facing is this:

acl blocked dstdomain "/etc/squid/blockfiles.acl"
http_access deny blocked

is not working,it is being bypassed.

The contents of /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl are

.google.co.in
.yahoo.com

But the following thing is working fine

acl blocked dstdomain .google.co.in
http_access deny blocked

The access permissions for the file /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl are 644.

So, nebody having ne idea about this please reply.

Thanking you in advance.

is there anything relevant in /var/log/squid/squid.out? i had a very similar problem recently where squid maintained that the file didn't exist, when it was just fine. deleted it, recreated it, and it was fine. still no idea why it was complaining... show us the output of "ls -l /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl"

hey nothing relevant to that file in /var/log/squid/squid.out

Also the output of command

ls -l /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl

-rw-r--r-- 1 shakeeb shakeeb 11 Mar 31 10:41 /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl

Tried deleting and recreating the file /etc/squid/blockfiles.acl but no success.

ok, well what are the matching allow lines in the access.log file? where's the logged proof that squid allowed them?
