Spotting Windows Computers from a Linux server

I am running a school network and we have just added a Linux server to one of our many computers (we have around 60-80 windows xp computers). We are trying (and failing) to see all of the windows pcs from the Linux server, but it is not working. If anyone has some helpful information, I know we would be very appreciative. Thanks.

How is the network setup? As an Active Directory Domain? I'd use Kerberos myself.

I quickly googled and pulled up pages of results.

You didn't answer my question whose answer dictates what response you get. Is your network a domain or workgroup and if it is a domain, is it an AD network or just a simple NT-based network?

my bad. I misread the thread.

Here's a good page on kerberos and Windows-Linux integration.
