Speedtouch 330 in MDK-10 (kernel 2.4.25 or 2.6.3) error

I discovered this forum and end everything what explain. after making everything I have this message of error of the Speedtouchconf.

Afeter that i make a new install off MDK-10 (kernel 2.4.25) and the same!!!

I walk thus has 3 weeks and I do not obtain to make nothing.

Em Portugal encontrei uma Distro que está no inicio, por isso tem poucas aplicações, mas por incrível que pareça a ADSL funciona com o Speedtouch 330.

It is reason to ask, it will be that the great distros, Type RDH and MDK and others, are only interested in the great equipment, and the small user with little money to invest is of is?

If somebody power to help, was thankful, in case that contrary will have to come back toward the cursed Windows, still obtains there to work.

Ths for for any help.


The Distro i Portugal is Caixa Mágica 8.1 (kernel 2.4.22)

All you have to do is to change one of these files (or both, so you can't mistake):
etc/ppp/pap-secrets
etc/ppp/chap-secrets

In these files there are a line that has something like this:
My_login * my_password *

Just change My_login with your username and My-password with your password

- - - - - - - - -

And as I'm Spanish and I guess you'll understand Spanich better than English (sorry, I don't speak it)...
Sólo cambia en estos archivos
etc/ppp/pap-secrets
etc/ppp/chap-secrets

Hay una línea parecida a esto
My_login * my_password *

Ejemplo: en mi caso Mi login es BOSNJA y mi ISP es TERRA, mi contraseña es bosnja. Enton esa línea del archivo queda así

BOSNJA@TERRA.ES * bosnja *

Después ejecuta /etc/rc.d/init.d/speedtouch start

Todo qué usted me dice ya yo hizo, donde coloqué My_login * my_password es mi conexión y contraseña verdaderas.

Por lo tanto el problema no será éste.

after all the errors, I decided to install in the Mdk-10 kernel 2.6.3-4mdk.

I made the following o command:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/speedtouch start

after some seconds appeared this:

Starting DASL Connection:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/speedtouch: line 522: 4189 Segmentation fault $MODEM_RUN -v $VERBOSE -m -f $MICROCODE

Will be that this aid somebody to discover a solution?

As it is natural as I am initiated nor I know what this wants to say.

Me estoy peleando con el p*** kit adsl de telefonica, que trae de "regalo" el Thompson 330 color plata y, trás varios intentos, sigo sin lograr exito (bajo Fedora Core 1). Si conoces a alguien que haya resuelto este problema (me da igual la distro), comicamelo. Te lo agradezco por adelantado.

No lo he conseguido con Mandrake 9.2 y estos drivers Speedtouchconf:

Me da el mismo error que a RanDomIze-PT (comprobar user/password y VCI/VPI). Pero sí es verdad que en la distro protuguesa Caixa Mágica 8.1 sí funciona (por lo menos a un amigo sí le funciona, yo todavía me ando peleando con la instalación de Caixa Mágica....). Suerte!
