Specifying a workspace an application launches in (GNOME)

In GNOME, is there a way to specify which workspace an application should launch in?

The reason I ask, is I have a few non-session aware applications I would like launched on startup. However, I want them to start in specific workspaces in my GNOME desktop.

Thanks,
Tom

KDE and Fluxbox both can do it :)

In KDE, you can set options in the kconfig/kcontrol center for defaulT DESKTOPS. You can also right click ever menu bar and "send to desktop x" once it is open to send programs/windows to other desktops. You can also change how the taskbar displays these(ordered by desktop, only show current desktop's tasks, etc). KDE is pretty powerful that way.

Desktops and workspaces are the same I am assuming?(not a gnomer)
