SoundCard and USB Problem
 
hi dear all

I am using linux 8

when I check for sound it will show that there is no sound card
plz guid me about that.

I have 2 GB kingstin usb drive but it can not mounted,usb were detected as a sda but when i mount it

using the commend
mount /dev/sda /mnt/usb or mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb

it will give the msg that "mount: wrong fs type ,bad option,bad superblock on /dev/sda or too many mounted file system"

ALso in disk management(GUI)

device Directory
/dev/sda /mnt/usb vfat

were give the same error as above.

You guide us. What soundcard? can you see it with lspci-v? is alsa running? Did you unmute sound in alsamixer? Whar error shows?

Start a new thread, write 'mount usb drive' in the subject, and click on 'Search for similar threads.' This has been answered many times.
