Sound problems in tvtime

Hello Everyone
I have recently migrated to linux from the crappy Windows, and am having certain problems regarding my tv card sound issues. i am giving below certain details for anyone to kindly help me:

Distro: Fedora Core 3
Kernel: 2.6.9-1.667
Tv Capture Card: Techcom Tv Tuner (SSD-TV-670)
Chipset: Saa7130HL
Tuner: TCL2002MB-3
Program: Tvtime

Now the problem is that when I start tvtime the channels are displayed but no sound. According to various informations i added the line "options saa7134 card=4 tuner=37" in my modprobe.conf file. As such i am now getting the video as well as the sound. (Sound only comes when card is selected as 4). But the problem now is that theres too much noise and hiss in the audio. I have tried "playing" with the sound controls but the noise remains. Please suggest remedies.

Below is my dmesg:

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
