Sound problems in mandrake10.0
 

I installed mandrake linux 10.0 using a dual partition with windows XP on the other they both co-exist peacefully except that i can't seem to configure my sound settings to listen 2 music in the linux enviroment given the ff parameters

i Tried Turning on my soundcore module but was unable to (Pls how do i go about this)
Next i checked if i had a precompiled module via the modinfo soundcore command and got the ff

Pls what do i do???

as root trying running alsaconf and see if that helps.
