Sound problems

Here I am again. This time I have sound problems. I have a Dell Inspiron 3500 with SuSE 8.2. I couldn't get the sound to load initially during setup so I skipped it. Now, when I try to configure it I get an error message. It apparently detects the sound card: MagicMedia 256AV device on Colorado Inspiron. The error message says: The kernel module snd-mn256 for sound support could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. I'm not sure where to find the parameters nor what they sure be changed to. Please help.
