sound problem slack 9.1

hi...

This is the third time I've posted about this problem, but all I get is that I should get another driver or something like that... And then my thread have a reply, and then there wont be no more answers...

The thing is, spimply enough; My sound does'nt work...

This is what I get after running alsaconf:

Loading driver...
Loading ALSA kernel modules.
/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o.gz: unresolved symbol unregister_sound_special
/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o.gz: unresolved symbol register_sound_special
/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o.gz: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o.gz failed
/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o.gz: insmod snd-emu10k1 failed
Setting default volumes...
===============================================================================

Now ALSA is ready to use.
For adjustment of volumes, please use alsamixer or gamix.

Have a lot of fun!

I'm sick of shitty answers now, because I've found them to not be working...

what kind of sound card are you using?

snd-emu10k1: Sound blaster live 5. 1
the thing is, I've had it working...

i'm using a sound blaster live also, but i never had any problems with it and slack. i would suggest recompiling your kernel, and for the sound drivers, compile sound blaster support into the kernel instead of as a module. in the slackware forum is a great HOWTO on recompiling your kernel. it helped me when i had never compiled a kernel before.
