sound problem on centos
hello,
have a problem setting up the sound card on centOS version 4.4 x64. have downloaded and installed the driver 'realtek-linux-audiopack-4.05f.tar.bz2' and got the 'found new hardware...' thin on the next reboot, and it seemed to got the correct sound card (Realtek) but it didn't install it. I could see the red failed on the loadup. as for hardware, I have the ASRock AliveXFire-eSATA2 and I'm using it's intenal audio device. when I looked inside /dev (the place where I went in when I had the ntfs problem) I could find no DSP or anythink like it, nithing. on some web page the have indicated the /dev/MAKEDEV sound... tried it and got a /dev/dsp + other devices, but it didn't remain after reboot. so, if you have any idea.. thanks in advance' GR. |
