Sound plays when tested but not for cdroms
Using: Fedora Project Kernel 2.4.22-1.2149 , GNOME, Asus A7333 Motherboard, Creative Labs Soundblaster 5.1
I'm new to linux and this is the current problem I am having.
For some reason I cannot hear sound when playing a cd-rom. The default player that pops up when I insert a disc is the 'CD Player' under GNOME. I checked my volume controls and I do not think anything is muted.
The strange thing is that when I use the 'Soundcard Detection' application under GNOME the sound will play fine from my speakers when set to:
Creative Labs, SB Live! EMU 10K1 -> CM8738
I also suspect that the sound is not player for other applications, like web pages or whatever.
