Sound on mandrake 10.1 stopped suddenly
 
Hi,

I have had the odd thing happen to my mandrake 10.1, yesterday I was using mplayer and xine to my hearts content, everything was working wonderfully. Now I get on and none of my DVDs have sound and I can't play audio CD's either? Any idea whats going on?

download alsa lib and install it ..

Hi,

Perhaps you will have to run "alsaconf" in console to get your sound working again.
Have you tried that before anything else ?
Perhaps you should also check if Aumix has all the relevant boxes NOT muted.
Just hope that could help you
