Question Sound Level in RH9

hey I've got xp and rh9 installed. under xp the sound is great. but under rh9 the volume seems to be abit lower then normal. its not a big issue but has anyone notices that. I checked the sound level in my xmms player its max. any other ideas? I cant find any other volume control anywhere.

I believe there is a program called gnome-volume-control or something close to that (if you have Gnome installed). You can just run that and make sure all the different volumes are set where you want them.

There is alsamixer. Do not forget to run "alsactl store" to keep the settings
