Sound Gone

Hi,

I could happily play sound on Ubuntu before.
But it is gone now, I just dont know what happened.
When I try to test the sound in preferences/sound it gives me the error
"Failed to connect stream : Invalid arguement"

and the sound window stops responding.
Also rhythmbox does not respond when i try to play an audio file.
I need to force quit to close it.

Please help me
I want the sound back.
I use Acer Aspire 5520
Below is ow my lspci looks like.

00:07.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio (rev a1)

Thanks
Ankit
