Sound error in Sabayon 64 bit

Hi.

I have installed Sabayon 64bit and have installed TORCS.

However, I have a problem with the sound (I think), as TORCS crashes and gives the following error:

open /dev/[sound/]dsp: Device or resource busy
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'char const*'
/usr/games/bin/torcs: line 52: 9925 Aborted $LIBDIR/torcs-bin -l $LOCAL_CONF -L $LIBDIR -D $DATADIR $*

Also, Ultimate Stunts gives this error:

---Sound data
Loading file cars/generic/engine2.wav
Failed to load /usr/share/games/ultimatestunts/cars/generic/engine2.wav
ALUT error was: The operation was invalid in the current ALUT state
Loading file cars/generic/crash_nonfatal.wav

Errror in CDataManager::getObject (shared/datamanager.cpp):

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks.

You didn't mention if you use kde but if you do try disabling the sound system in control centre/sound & multimedia/sound system. Or set the auto suspend time on the same page to a very short time like 5 seconds. I don't use Gnome so I'm not sure how to do the same there.

I saw that same error in Ultimate stunts.. scrolling back farther in the log I saw another error, that it was looking for libvorbisfile.so and couldn't locate that file

I did a package search for libvorbisfile.so and found it was contained in the package libvorbis-dev

after installing libvorbis-dev ulimatestunts runs without any issues for me.
