sound editors on suse


amd athlon 64 3000+
nvidia nforce3 250gb motherboard
512mb ddr400/433 memory module
80gb 7200rpm sata hard drive
ati radeon 9200se

hi! is this a good specification for a linux system? im a total newbie so i dont know if linux can maximize the use of this specs.

i also want to install a sound editing program and movie editor so i hope you guys can give me an advise on what to use and what distro is the best for these types of program.

i was thinking of using suse. is it good enough? thank you so much.

Sound Editor - Audacity
SuSE is a pretty good choice if you are a newbie. Install it, and try it. If you wont like it, try Ubuntu
