sound delay on fedora


hello how do you change the sound server on fedora so i can try new ones because i get a nasty sound delay on xmms and games bit not on mplayer,
also i need to know how to edit my fstab so my ntfs partition will work i can mounted every time i log on but i am getting tired of ot can someone give me the lines i have to add to the fstab file? my dev is hda1 and my mountpoint is "windows"
