Sound Converter for fedora?


Hi,


i have an mp3 file which i want to convert it into a .wav format! please tell me the suitable and the best audio converting software so that i can convert my mp3 to a wav(except "sound-coverter")

there is a r-click menu option for that

try "ffmpeg" , go through the man pages, or some tutorial available on the net (linuxscience.wordpress.com : just few usage is define here). It is a command line utility and very powerful.

Here is a quick script I found floating around the internet.

Code:
#!/bin/bash
# mp32wav
mpg123 -b 10000 -s "$1" | sox -t raw -r 44100 -s -w -c2 - "$2"
And the use is:
mp32wav file.mp3 file.wav

just make sure you have mpg123 installed.
