Sound Card problems in Ubuntu 10.10

Hello

I am not getting any sound from my computer speakers, I have two hard drives installed one with Windows 7 and the other Linux running Ubuntu 10.10. The speakers are working with Windows 7 but not with Ubuntu I have a Realtek High Definition Sound Card ALC260 is there a place that I can get this from and how do I install it. Please keep it simply as I am easily confused with Linus still.

Thank you so much

Check to see if maybe the sound card requires proprietary drivers. Click "System", then "Administration", then "Additional Drivers". Make sure you are connected to the internet. If it picks up any devices that require proprietary drivers, it will give you the option to "Activate" them. Do so, then reboot your computer.

Attached is a screenshot.
