Okay, I'm running kernel 2.4.25-2mdk. I ran the generic RPM package riptide-0.6lnxtbeta03122800-1.i386.rpm.zip, installed pcitools package that first package mentioned depended on. I stiill don't have sound though, I launched totem player to check but video-audio and audio files.

I must hear the sweet sounds of Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese trailer once again! http://www.rpgamer.com/games/xeno/xe...osaga2mov.html

I will try to get the serial of this audio-modem combo card. Don't even old boards have onboard audio? Maybe I can just unplug the audio-modem card?

angel_hva, you either have to download the alsa drivers, recompile a 2.6 kernel or a recent 2.4. What is the name of the sound card or sound chip? Maybe try Fedora or Mandrake 10 if you don't want to do any work (i would go with option 2, i'm lazy).

My Mandy 10.0 doesn't load a module. In harddrake it says that module is "unknown."
