you *definitely* have a kernel, nothing works without it, nothing.

what are you actually trying to achieve? you don't want to be using ipchains, as it has been replaced with iptables over a year ago. if you are after a basic firewall or such like, i would suggest using a basic application such as http://firestarter.sourceforge.net/ should get you started really easily.

You'd probably get better (more) responses
if your threads had meaningful titles ...

Try this one: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

Question how switch from Kde to Gnome please

Ok,

i need someone to tell me how can i switch from Kde to Gnome.
Or i'm having another problem, because when i'm trying to open Firestarter under Kde, it says that i have to be signed as Root user. But i'm a Root user, only and one user.

So where i'm wrong?

I'm sure i configured so much security when i was installing my first Linux.
