Something's Wrong!

I have Suse OS, a belkin router with RR and when I try to set up the LAN, it gives me an error that states:

Something's Wrong! Network is not running Please check your hardware and try again. No IP address were assigned.

I have two other machines running XP and they are fine. I had RR resend my signal yesterday and that was no help and that usually does the trick.
The lights on my router are just fine... and it appears that it is running ok but I cannot access the internet. Also, I am using the onboard Network Card... SiS from a ECS board. Please help... what are the commands to set it up from the console... or any ideas would help.

Thanks Everyone

I think we are going to need some more details here. You are using a Belkin router, but do you have it set up as a DHCP server or are you assigning IP addresses to your cards manually? Also, does the ifconfig command see all of your ethernet cards? Finally, wade through the output of dmesg and see if there are any references to your network setup or ethernet card set up (you can see the same info in your /var/log/syslog file and it might be worth a look at your /var/log/messages file as well.
