Somehow deleted xfce4 and installed Python now black screen with an X for cursor


Hi while playing around with my acer aspire one netbook i have managed to wipe off xfce4 and terminal and who knows what else while installing python!?!

Is there anyway i can restore it to factory settings? Any help would be appreciated

Are you sure you didn't log into wm? You can check by right -clicking on sceen, option to logout along with apps menu. If so logout and click on session.
Btw if it's a wm you can add necessary items from MENU UNDER YOUR RIGHT-CLICK.
Everything is there your right -click opens all the doors.
You can also open a terminal and use aptitude or apt-get to get your desktop back.
