some questions to clarify
Happy Friday =)
I just have twp questions. I am using Redhat WS3 and I am wondering that can I download the files (.rpm)that are for Fedora 2 or redhat 9 to my system? will it cause any problem? and also if the driver is support up to version 2.4.20-28 but I am using 2.4.21-20 version. can the driver still work in my system? Thanks |

That was answer to all three questions. I do not have any problems when using rpms from other distros. And drivers can work too, but rpm may be complaining, co it's better to download proper version. In most cases --nodeps helps without any problems. Consider a little risk when using --nodeps, risk is bigger when using really different versions. |
Thank you. so should I pick rpm for Fedora 2 or rpm for RH 9 for my system (RH WS 3)
