Hi, i've got some questions of this OS. Really, i've got problems with my micro and my HD.
I need some distributions of Linux that are supported with HD S-ATA and AMD 64.

I tested the Ubuntu, Red Hat, and more distros, but i can't install on my HD :'(

When the installation is running, the alert of error surge and I say "WTF!". Please, can u tell me what version of kernel use or what linux can i use.
Thank for your help, forgive my English but it's not very good.

I gonna test SuSe... but SuSe is not freeware really?
Please, can you say me the version of your Kernel...
Thank you for all....

Three different types of SuSe:

1/ Open source version -- all software here is open source. This version is free.
2/ Eval version -- includes some non-open source software. This version is also free.
3/ Eval version you pay for -- same as the eveal version but you get some manuals and online support.

None of the Eval versions contains any timelimits or stuff like that...only difference is the support thing plus some packages with licensed software if you buy the disc set.

I've got a question Keruskerfürst, do you have installed the Live version (32bit) or the Eval version (32bit or 64bit)... i think that you have the second because is 64 bits, like your micro. Now, i am downloading the "Eval DVD ISO image 64bit" of the suse official web site, for test this OS. Tell me yours comments please, bye.
