some questions about samba and web design

Hi

First of all I have a problem with samba. It refuses to start. It worked before, but now it's not working anymore.

I've tried to uninstall it (with the --purge option) and reinstall it several times. At the moment i can't remember the command to start samba atm (can anyone tell me what it is?), but since it tries to start automaticly after installation I can give you the error message:

Code:
Generating /etc/default/samba...
 * Starting Samba daemons...                                             [fail]
invoke-rc.d: initscript samba, action "start" failed.
Edit: Found a web designing app - nvu. Other suggestions are welcome!

As for samba: look at the logs. They usually give you a fair
idea of what's going wrong.

As for nvu: it's about as sad as frontpage; learn to code in
HTML, makes for leaner pages (loading faster). If you don't
feel like typing tags use something like bluefish.

Cheers,
Tink

Thanks for the answer

ok.... I already know how to code in HTML, maybe I shall use my handcoding skills more often, for now I've wined Dreamweaver.

I'll take a look at the logfile if I can find it.
