some questions
Hello again.
I want to ask a question regarding the checking of services in Nagios. You all know the check_[service] command right? In the commands.cfg and windows.cfg. 1) To check for the different types of services/ports, we just replace the [service] in check_[service] with the name of the port? I only know of check_http, check_ssh, check_ftp etc. Some ports like Finger, snmp etc, all these we also write it as 'check_finger', 'check_snmp'? 2) And, if that is the case, do we have to install additional plugins to monitor the ports defined earlier? 3) Lastly, if i want to monitor finger, snmp in windows server, would i need to download any software? Thank you and have a nice day. |
please use more informative title next time, use less questions and put Windows os question in proper forum
:) for sure there is software that can do that user friendly way. Check softpedia |
But Nagios is related to Linux question? Not Windows-related if i'm not wrong.
