Some good reading material

Greetings fellow newbies,

I was trying to learn more about ~/.bashrc, ~/.bash_profile, and /etc/bashrc this morning when I ran across a link to "Beyond Linux From Scratch." It covers much more than the bash shell, and I have a feeling I'm going to learn a lot from it.

If anyone else is interested, head on over to, choose the mirror closest to you, then from the left navigation menu, choose to either download it or read it online.
