solaris login
 
i am using solaris 10....

for a particular user, i am able to login using two different passwords (or), i am able to login using either one of the two passwords.....

how ......tell me...please..i am fearing that it would become a security issue..

user:x
password:yyyyyyyyyyy
$


user:x
password:yyyyyyyyyyyz
$

both are working for successful login....

Are you sure the User Name is the same ?
Unix is case sensitive.

It is highly unusual to have multiple passwords for a user account.

Suggestion:

1. Enter FEWER letters
2. Stop when the login FAILS
3. Enter DIFFERENT letters for n+1

now it is getting me too cumbersome....

because,

ssh x@a.b.c.d
password:yyyyyyy(any leter)
$
what is this....i am really clueless...(i am not able to login into the actual system, eventhough i enter right password,but able to login using ssh )
