Software to rename MP3's according to ID3 Tags?

Anyone know of some linux script or software that I could point at my entire MP3 directory and it would go through and rename and sort all of them according to what was contained internally in the ID3 tags?

There is a konqueror plugin called that will do just that. Even print out cd labels.
Select one or more mp3 files in konqueror, and right click to get the MusicMan menu.

there is a program called Kid and there are others at that site too and if ur using kde 3.2 then juk can do that for u

The plug-in is for the Konqueror web browser. If that is the browser you use, then it will work in Red Hat.

It will even produce sql statements to add the information into a database. It isn't id3v3 however, so it can't send pictures to a player. Actually, I looked on the web for sites about id3v3 and they seem to all have been shut down. ( such as id3v3.org ).

You should try jaikoz http://www.jaikoz.net

It is Java based and should work on all variants of Linux.
It allows renaming files from tags and vice versa and can deal with thousands of files at a time.
