so how do i go about using resier4???


so how do i go about using resier4???

if i have resierfs compiled in the kernel does that work???

i am thinking about recompiling to 2.6.8.1

is there a patch i should get for reiserfs 4?

if i get it working can i use it as my / partition??? and boot with it?

First of all, it's Reiser, not resier

2nd: 2.8.1 is the version number of ...?

and i went there and found someting about getting a little bit older kernel

but i was wondering if i could use 2.6.8.1 (the newest kernel)
and if i could use it as my / partiion

these to questions were un anwered at namesys

Can we agree on 2.6.8.1 instead of 2.8.1?

Ok, I'll do some more of your homework because
I'm in a good mood today ;}

And no, namesys only supplies patches for
up to 2.6.5-rc2 ... you can try running the patch
against the newer kernel (make sure you have a
backup-copy of your sources and .config)

Personally I wouldn't touch it yet ...
