Question SMP - starting two instances

I've just installed Mandrake 8.1 on an old SMP machine (dual P100's!) and everything appears to have gone well.

What I can't figure out is how to start a program twice so each instance is running on a separate CPU.

Basically I'm talking about the SETI client here - I know each instance needs to run from a separate directory, but how do I tell it which CPU to run on? (am I even making sense?) 8-)

Thanks, Ross

ehhhmm, kindda, hehe. I have duel 600mhz, and what really happens is that the programs doesn't just stay in one cpu, but rather fluctuates around both cpu's. So it's not really that one program is always going to run on one cpu. One cpu's activity goes up, then down and then the others cpu activity goes up. If it is one program. If you got one cpu full however, then it is when the computer has no other choice but to run that other program with the second cpu is it's a lot easier. This is because these smp cpus work in an equilibrium, they are not 100% independent from each other, they work as a team in other words,
