Angry smb.conf


I have got some problems accessing my sharing that ive done on my linux environment...it tells me about path not found when i try to access it from my Windows machine...

my smb.conf looks like this...

[global]
security = domain
workgroup = test
server string = %h server
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
max log size = 1000
dns proxy = No
;hosts allow = 192.168.0.
;hosts deny = ALL
printing = cups
printcap name = cups

[printers]
path = /var/spool/samba
printable = Yes
browseable = No

[print$]
path = /var/lib/samba/printers

[Test]
path = /root/Desktop/Training
public = yes
writeable = yes


any ideas upon how to make work....

Try making your share somewhere other than /root for a start

Look in your samba logs

Access to the /root directory (not to be confused with / which is also called root) is restricted, so it's quite likely that missing access permissions on part of the samba daemon causes the problem.

A good testing location is within /opt which was originally meant to store applications, but nowadays usually ends up being almost empty.
