When my pc boots up it says that it fails booting smartd. I was reading about it and found it has to do with SMART Disk Monitoring Daemon. How can i fix this??

since you did not list your distro i am going off the assumption it is fc3 because it is the only one listed in your profile.
i would first check /etc/smartd.conf and make sure that it isnt monitoring anything (cd-rom) that isnt an ide hard drive. As well, check the system bios and confirm if S.M.A.R.T. is enabled or not.
