Small question for linux/slackware 10.0


I want to install a soundblaster 16 ISA -soundcard on my computer.. but I don't know how...

I there a list over how you do things in the terminal.. like for instance shuting down the system.. I haven't figured out how I do that...

well if you haven't screwed with the kernel your self ( i am guessing you haven't) just put the sound card in the computer

after your boot back up and are in the terminal/comandline just type alsaconf run thru the steps then make sure you unmute your card

alsamixer will do that
to save your settings alsactl store will let you do that
