Slow NFS connection from Windows platform to a Linux Box
I am in the Semi conductor industry. One of the systems I service has an older Dell Poweredge 2800 server connected to a company proprietary Linux box.
It has 2 connections.
1 is via my systems software that runs my SEM review system.
The other is an NFS mount, (Windows I believe not a 3rd party)
OS is Windows 2003 Server.
All the following tests were on the Same Linux Box different folders. Same ethernet connection etc.
FTP and system software copy and transfer files no problem great results.
NFS is showing quite abit slower speeds, enough for the customer to complain.
Does anyone have any NFS mount settings that can be optimized to help this?
Hardware has been 95% eliminated as a root cause.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
