slow.. internet

hi guys:
my firefox has been responding suddenly very slowly. (it is not slow in other systems in the newtork). I am scratching my head. The only other major activity between the fast and slow response I can think of this mounting some samba file systems.

I think that mounting and maintaining mounts in samba consumes a lot of bandwith. I would say only mount what you need and make sure to unmount when you do not need it anymore.
