Any details?? What version/distro of Linux? What kind of hardware? What site(s) are you having problems with? Any particular type of site (.asp, Shockwave, etc.?). What else do you have running???

Hard to help when the only thing we know is "browser is slow"....

lagging how ? a delay when you try to load a web page ? If so try disabling IPv6 in the browser and the OS.

You didn't specify a Distribution so I'll randomly throw up some directions. they should be pretty much the same for any Distro..

well ive done uname =a to determine what version and it says
Vector-Linux
Linux Version 2.6.22.19

I dont have anything else running as far as i know.

Almost every site is taking a while to load but my download speed is faster than what window was. Gets even slower when im using sites such as youtube.
