Question Slapt-get? iniating lots of downgrades

I installed slapt-get and ran an 'update'. When ever i check the progress every 10 mins or so i found several downgrades in progress but it called it an 'upgrading'. have there been that many packages in Slack 14 that are being recalled?

I know how to use the traditional slackware tools but I wanted an alternative available.

Anyone have a good gripe against slapt-get?

Never used it. I read one or two negative comments about it years ago, so I avoided it. Maybe you'd be better sticking to slackpkg for updates.
